Album Info:Finally, after nearly 30 years of off and on work, the City of Birmingham has decided to construct an Intermodal Station which will include Amtrak, Greyhound and the City Buses. The first construction package has been advertised and the City Council voted on Oct 29, 2013 to award the contract. The news has quoted 6 weeks as the start time. Let's see when it actually happens! This album will document the past, the present and the construction of the future station.

Zepplin vs Railroad Station
Title:  Zepplin vs Railroad Station
Description:  While a new station is being built in Birmingham, the Zepplin Mooring Mast on the Thomas Jefferson Hotel is being restored 3 blocks away. (Talk about intermodal!) The Hotel, Later the Cabana Hotel, was finished in 1929. No Zepplins were known to have ever docked there. The Hotel, after being closed for about 30 years, is being rebuilt as apartments. The Mooring Mast will be lite at night.
