Modern L&N Station
Built to replace the Birmingham Passenger Station (and to free up land for a new high rise office building) this station was actually built on the same parcel of land that the Relay House was located. Although built late in the railroad passenger era, it contained segregated waiting rooms, restrooms and lunch counters.
